Te Totara Primary School opened it's doors nine years ago and its existence was a direct response to the growing Rototuna population. In those early days, the school catered to 58 students.
Today, Te Totara Primary School has over 800 students and that figure is expected to grow to over 1,000 within the next four years. There are also a further two primary schools in Rototuna as well as a Junior and Senior High School.
