Have your say with the Hamilton City Council

13th Jun 18

Every six years, Council's are required to hold a review around their representations and this year, the Hamilton City Council will be holding it's Representation Review.

To help with the pre-consultation phase of the review, the Council has launched a public survey via the internet.

The survey will ask participants' views on numerous topics, including:

  • Whether or not the City should stay as two separate Wards
  • Should Hamilton have community boards
  • How many Councillors should there be

Feedback recieved through the survey will be considered by the Hamilton City Council in August 2018 and make up part of the initial proposal for the Representation Review.

Following this, a formal public consultation process where the public will be invited to make submissions regarding the Council's initial proposal wiull be held.  It is expected that this will take place from the 22nd of August 2018 through until the 21st of September 2018.
