Hamilton Tourism Fifth in New Zealand

In the last 12 months, visitors to Hamilton spent a whopping $811 million - Ranking our City as the fifth most popular town for tourism in New Zealand.

Surprisingly, the majority of visitors came from Australia and the United States.

The wider Waikato region saw $1.4 billion being spent by tourists which, when coupled with Perry Groups plans for Te Awa Lakes and a water park, has spurred Tainui Group Holdings to go ahead with plans for a $13 million expansion to the Novotel Tainui.
