Hamilton Prices Continue Upwards

16th Nov 15

September was exceptional for both number of homes sold as well as prices achieved.  October has generally seen the “heat” tapper of slightly with the number of homes selling dropping to 375 however Median selling price increasing from September’s $425,000  to $435,000 for October.  Contributing to this is an increase of homes on the market – as of 1st November 671 were listed compared to 553 on 1st October.  Auckland investors seem to also be taking a break to re assess the Reserves bank new loan-to-value ratio limits on lending to property investors in Auckland Council area that require those borrowers to have a minimum of a 30 per cent deposit.
