Firming in House Market

10th Jan 18

Auckland is often used as a benchmark for any national trends and in Real Estate, this is definitely the case. Any patterns or trends witnessed in Auckland, are soon seen happening in other New Zealand cities and towns

The urgency of sellers to secure a property sale has seemed to have waned and this in turn, has supported a firming in prices.

December 2017 overall, was a light period for real estate however this was due to the festive season, regulatory changes and the recent change in Government. However, there were still 790 houses sold through Auckland in December, up from 718 in November but down from 825 in December 2016.

To read more about the trends seen in December and predictions for the Real Estate market for the coming year, click here to read more of the report written by Dene Mackenzie from the Otago Daily Times.
